Thank goodness no locks to go through today on our way to the next marina. We are continuing to move each day in the hopes of meeting up with 4-5 looper friends to celebrate Thanksgiving in Columbus, MS. The weather seems to be in our favor as have the locks. This part of the river has many large stately homes and plenty of wildlife. Today I saw more than 15 blue herons, both stationary and in flight. I also learned today that they squawk! (Link to the sound here.) Typically we see one or two in our cove back in Wareham, but I have never heard them before.

Our trip today.
