Early morning off the dock as in this area we are finding that the locks have some set times for “RV’s”-recreational vehicles-to enter the locks. Not sure who decided 6 a.m. was the ideal time for us to lock through but this one is out of our control! Only one lock today the Howell Heflin Lock. On our trip today we passed the White Cliffs of Epes. I had never heard of this area and is certainly a beautiful site to see and one of my favorites during our travel down the Tombigbee River. Today was another sunny day and high of 65. Looking forward to the weather getting warmer and having my fishing pole in hand.
Demopolis is a small town, population ~ 7,000 and declining. There was not much to do or see here as our full day on Saturday it rained all day. Decided this would be our last opportunity for the next 5-7 days to get supplies for the boat so yes off we went to the area Walmart. Met up with our friends from “journey”, had dinner and caught up on traveling the remainder of the way through the rivers. Soon we will be thinking about tides and adding that to our planning sessions.

Our trip on Day 159.
