We were grateful that we could travel today and headed to Apalachicola, FL. This means we will be taking the short hops along the Gulf of Mexico rather than completing an overnight to Tampa. The weather has been very windy and we are planning daily looking for good weather days to continue on to our next stop. Unfortunately this will add about a week to the trip to our destination in Fort Pierce as well as leave us little time to explore the towns we do stop at. Stopping at this point would mean waiting a week or more for the weather to improve. Looking forward to getting there to hang out with Nick for a few weeks and get away from the daily planning.
