As we continue to find good travel days we motored on to Englewood and Palm Harbor Marina. Because the weather was taking a turn for the worse and high winds were predicted we decided to stay a few days. There was not much within walking distance-one deli and convenience store-but there was a water taxi to a neighboring island where we went to dinner with Scott & Starlet from “No Worries”. We were the only two boats here and had the marina to ourselves. We spent the few days here relaxing, puzzle making and hanging out in the jacuzzi.
The second night proved to be eventful as a fast moving storm moved through. Fear of flooding caused the marina to turn off all of the electricity. It was expected that the waters would be about 2 feet over the docks. Thankfully this never occurred. In the end we were all safe although a pylon broke off of the dock that Scott and Starlet were tied up to and they had some damage to their canvas as the wind tore off their solar panels. Some of our fellow loopers that were a bit north of here did not fear as well as a tornado raced through Treasure Island Marina in Panama City. All are safe, but boats will need to be repaired before they can resume their trip down the coast.

Our trip on day 202.
