Rise and shine very early this morning. As it was a short day I didn’t understand it until we passed Newport. Seems if we could maintain our speed and course we can be home in Buzzards Bay and our neighborhood marina by sunset. Needless to say Dan put the pedal to the metal-not sure how to say that in nautical terms-and we arrived in Buzzards Bay early enough to drop our lines in the water. Long day but surprisingly not tired and spent a few more hours cleaning and organizing the boat before being picked up for the short ride home from a dear friend.
