We started our day intending to anchor out somewhere prior to Columbus Marina. As has been for most of this trip luck was on our side and we had no waiting at the locks so it was onto Columbus Marina a day early. We saw our first palm today! Thank you Mississippi!!! Must mean we are getting closer to the warm weather we seem to be chasing daily.

At Columbus we met up with our friends from ”No Worries”, “Jagger”, and Merry T. As is typical of stops in larger cities we did the Walmart run - yes the Wednesday before Thanksgiving- and visited the downtown area. We had the best dinner out since we started this journey at Huck‘s Place. I am now a convert as I discovered what grits should taste like!

On Thursday we had a community dinner complete with turkey, dressing, and all the fixings, including dessert. We have much to be thankful for this year-a safe trip, making new friends, our families and friends at home as well as these two who are staying safe in Israel.
