As we meandered our way up the west coast of Florida we stopped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in Inglis, FL. We visited this area while on our boating trip last year and were unable to spend much time here due to the weather. The area is known for its fresh water springs and warm water bays where manatees come to spend the winter. The first day we enjoyed a kayak tour meandering through the natural springs and were able to see hundreds of manatees. The area has recovered somewhat from the most recent hurricanes with most area businesses up and running.
Cedar Key was a different story. This area was devastated in September by Helene and although the main street has been rejuvenated, most businesses along the coast continue to be closed waiting for repairs.

Our trip on day 56.
