We headed out early today on our way to Pensacola where we stayed with one of my college friend for a few days. This was one of our favorite stops in Florida. Although it was a bit colder than it has been the last few weeks with highs only in the 60’s-low 70’s, Pensacola is a hidden gem. It is home to the Blue Angels has some beautiful white “sugar”sand beaches, historical sites, and the feel of “old” Florida. We took some time to visit Ft. Pickens on Gulf Islands National Seashore Park and explore their camping areas. This stop will be on our list of national parks when we begin our trip west next year.

Our trip on day 60.
