After spending Christmas with the family we headed out on our next adventure. The plan is to head south to warmer weather as fast as we can and spend some time meeting up with some looper friends and revisiting places we experienced while completing the Great Loop last year. Not sure how far the trip will take us this year, or how long we will be gone. Our focus will be spending time getting to know our new rig, how she rides, and reacquaint ourselves with camping-it's been a while.

Our first few days on the road were long and cold staying at "Harvest Hosts" as we traveled south. If you camp at all we highly recommend becoming a member. It seems it will be a good way to meet the locals and learn about the area.

Started off a bit cold and rocky as the temps dipped below freezing and yes or water lines froze-as did our hands, feet and toes! Gladly when we thawed a few days later there was no damage to the trailer and all is well.

Still feeling cold we decided on another long day to Franklin County, VA. Here we stayed at Franklin County Distillery. Food wasn't quite as good, nor was the view, but better than Walmart parking lot.

Day 3 was another long day headed to Santee State Park to meet up with our friends Scott and Starlet from "No Worries". We had spent new years with them last year on anchor and thought we would make a tradition of meeting up with them as long as we could meet up somewhere warm.
