Another rainy start to our day, although moderate temperatures. There was at great deal to see including a massive dredging machine that took up half the river. Henry Harbor is a small marina part of it being the old lock wall in Henry, IL. Follow the link and the second picture down shows it in use in the 1870’s. Not sure I would be adventurous enough to take that ride!
The town of Henry was another small town on the river that again was filled with several older buildings, many from the 1800’s. Only spending one night here as it is important to keep moving down river as more loopers are on their way and there are limited slips in the marinas.
Our trip today.
