Very early start today 6:30 am, 45*🥶. Although I would love to have a later start, leaving early is better than traveling these unknown rivers in the dark. Although we were ready early, the lock was not ready for us. We waited until ~8a.m. when the lock was empty and ready for us to enter.

Today was a long day arriving at Logston Tug in Beardstown ~ 4p.m. Enough time to take a walk around town and make a quick dinner before bed. This is a unique place to tie up as it is an old tug with no electricity or water. It was a bit treacherous walking along the ”docks” and up a steep ladder to town. Certainly didn’t leave the boat after dark. Check out the video.
