We left early this morning heading for “Mel’s”, yet another restaurant that has a few docks to tie up to for the night. Marinas are very scarce here on the Illinois and the Mississippi Rivers as both rivers flood the banks each spring and fall. We traveled for the first hour today in pea soup fog. Made me wonder why we left so early! A long day of travel seems even longer when there is no visibility.
Arrived at Mel’s at ~4:30 and settled in for dock-tails, an early dinner, sower and bed. We will have a late start tomorrow as we only have a few hours to travel to Grafton marina. Also, Mel’s was closed today and we need to try their famous pies!
Our trip today.
Still following the unrest in Israel. Please keep Gal, Adam and their family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. All still doing as well as can be expected.
