We left the Diversion Canal late today as we have a short 6 hour day today. We are heading to the Olmsted lock where we will be anchoring again tonight. We arrived ~ 3 p.m.-plenty of daylight remaining to secure the anchor. Our friends Keith and Ali were having a difficult time anchoring so we invited them to raft up to us for the evening. That’s when the fun began! Ok, funny now, not so funny while it was happening. Keith decided to simply jump in the water to set the stern anchor rather than drop one of our dinghy’s. Well needless to say when he dropped the anchor the swift current of the Ohio swept him away. Several oh my God, rescue ring, lines ending in a dinghy launch and Keith was safely back at the boat. Had a few laughs, early dinner and another early start tomorrow.
Our trip today.
