Started today on our trip to Nashville with our friends Starlet and Scott from “No Worries”. I especially enjoy traveling with this couple as they are fun and enjoy a late start ~8A.M, and try to stick to a 5-6 hour travel day. Any more than that and we usually arrive exhausted with only time to make and eat dinner and get to bed early.

On our trip today we passed the Kentucky State Penitentiary. Known as the “Castle on the Cumberland”, it was constructed in the late 1800’s by Italian masons. Quite a beautiful building which is still in use today.

We ended our day early today, anchoring just outside Bumpus Marina. A quiet day on the water today passing zero barges and no locks! The anchorage quite peaceful as there were only a few small fishing boats, and again no wakes from barges.
