Today was a long day traveling to Alligator River Marina. There was not much here with the exception of a clean marina and gas station fried chicken! (I did have it a few days later and it was delicious). The alligator river thankfully does not have many alligators. It was named after the shape of the river and was once the northernmost area where one would find alligators. They tell us they no longer see alligators here, although I don’t think I would chance a swim in the water just yet!

Keith and Ali form “Journey” were here with us as we spent a night relaxing before we part ways in Albemarle Sound. We will be heading to Edenton, NC as this is the only town in the area that has an Orthodox Church. We are planning on attending midnight services tomorrow in celebration of Easter.

Our trip today.
