We left bright and early this morning not knowing where we would end up. There were several options including Atlantic City, Egg Harbor, or Barnegat Bay?? It is all about the weather now. If we can get to Barnegat Bay we will be able to travel inside the remainder of the way to Long Island Sound and then the wind becomes a non issue.
As we were passing Atlantic City, we looked at each other and said no, nothing we need to see. With the sea is calm as it was today, looking like lake Atlantic, we decided to push on to Barnegat Bay. Needless to say, this will be the last overnight anchorage that we do. The weather was warm, and it was pretty calm after the day boats stopped whizzing through the anchorage. As we were winding down for the night we met the Cracken! Not really, simply a swimmer that was too long around the bay.
Our trip on day 346.
