Headed to St. Augustine today, another short trip. We spent 2 days here, one in the marina and one on a mooring. St. Augustine is the oldest city in the US having several cobblestone streets and Spanish colonial buildings. Of course we spent sometime at the distillery and roamed the streets stopping from time to time at an interesting store or museum. Although we were here during the total solar eclipse it was barely noticeable. I am sure that friends and family in the northeast had a much better experience.

Tomorrow we are heading to Fernandina beach, our last stop in Florida. Looking forward to continuing north and spending time with family and friends this summer. There is much to see on the east coast, but we are optimistic that we will venture here again and will pick and choose our way up the coast.

There is also a Greek shrine here to St Photios as there was a large Greek population that settled here back in the 1700’s. Stopped in to say a prayer for our family and friends, asking to watch over Adam, Gal, her sister Shai and their family members living both here and in Israel. Happy to know they are living their lives-traveling to the Swiss Alps for some skiing and hiking the desert near their home. We are still hopeful for the release of the remaining hostages and an end to the war.

Our trip on day 291.
